The T-Mobile Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was home to a great night of fights at UFC 264: Poirier vs. McGregor 3. The card saw six (T)KOs, one submissions, and fiven decisions, including one split-decision.
The prelims opened with Zhalgas Zhumagulov defeating Jerome Rivera via modified guillotine in just 122 seconds. That was followed up by a really great battle between the 185-pound grinders that saw Brad Tavares take the split-decision. Jennifer Maia left Jessica Eye pretty battered taking a unanimous decision victory. Dricus du Plessis defeated Trevin Giles almost at the midpoint of the fight, scoring a nice KO to seal the deal. LAS VEGAS Conor McGregor sat and seethed with his back on the cage, a temporary cast around his left shin and foot. The biggest star in mixed martial arts was convinced he had just been robbed of revenge on Dustin Poirier by a broken leg.
“I was boxing the bleedin’ head off him, kicking the bleedin’ leg off him,” McGregor shouted. “This is not over! If we have to take this outside for him, we’ll take it outside.”

4:37pm - Crazy end to the fight. While McGregor has an out with the ankle, he was getting whopped once the fight hit the mat. Poirier was in control and landing some huge shots and now moves on to a title fight.
4:36pm - McGregor is still on the mat - doctor s looking to splint the leg. Conor talking trash from the ground and he s pretty pissed about the result. His leg is in a splint now.
Dana White says McGregor broke shin, expects fourth Poirier match

LAS VEGAS Dustin Poirier beat Conor McGregor for the second time in six months when McGregor badly injured his left leg in the closing seconds of the first round at UFC 264 on Saturday night (Sunday, Manila time).
The fight was stopped after the first-round bell when McGregor (22-6) was unable to continue. The biggest star in mixed martial arts never got up after falling to the canvas following a final-minute blow by Poirier (28-6), who will get the UFC s next lightweight title shot.
UFC president Dana White said he was told McGregor broke his shin near the ankle. McGregor will have surgery on Sunday morning.
