New Zealand pauses trans-Tasman bubble with Perth after state reported three new Covid-19 cases

New Zealand has paused the trans-Tasman travel bubble with Western Australia after the state recorded three new Covid-19 cases. The ministry of health announced on Sunday that it was no longer accepting flights from the state after carrying out a rapid public health assessment. Scheduled direct flights from Western Australia to New Zealand should be immediately paused while a further assessment is carried out, including a further assessment and information from Australian health officials, a statement read.   It comes after a security guard at a Perth quarantine facility and his two housemates tested positive to Covid-19 on Saturday. Dragon boater to give talk following Kiwi documentary s final screening

The Pinkies are Back, but not for long. The final screening of a Taranaki filmmaker s documentary about a dragon boating team made up of breast cancer survivors screens on Tuesday in New Plymouth. Following the 6.30pm showing at Event Cinemas, Pink Dragons’ paddler and cancer survivor Glenda Tan will take a Q&A with the audience. Tan, 68, features in the film, which was directed and produced by local Lisa Burd. SIMON O CONNOR/Stuff The Pink Dragons are an Auckland-based competitive all-female dragon boating team. In the early part of last decade, they were regular medallists at the New Zealand Dragon Boat Championships.
