Both men were refused bail at Naas District Court
Two men charged in connection with an alleged €8.2m drugs find in Straffan and Kill in Co Kildare have appeared before a special court sitting this evening.
Both men were refused bail by Judge Desmond Zaidan at a Naas District Court hearing.
Eric Lawlor, 46, with an address at Baybush House, Baybush, Maynooth, faces allegations of possessing cannabis and cocaine for the purposes of sale or supply and with a breach of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act at Cypress House, Baybush House, Straffan, on 11 February.
Eugene Mulligan, 49, with an address at Carrigans Upper, Ballymore, County Sligo, faces an allegation of possessing cannabis for the purpose of sale or supply on 11 February.

A man in his late 20s has died following an assault in Allenwood, Co Kildare in the early hours of Sunday.
Gardaí were called to Allenwood South at 3.49am following reports of a public order incident/assault and discovered a man lying unconscious on a public road who was receiving CPR.
The emergency services were called and the man was taken by ambulance to Naas General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
