Nashville July 4 concert adds performers, including Lilly Hiatt, Priscilla Block Along with Brad Paisley, the Nashville Symphony and the largest fireworks display in the city s history, there are even more sights and sounds planned for Nashville s official July 4 celebration. TikTok-wielding country newcomer Priscilla Block, respected singer-songwriter Lilly Hiatt and instrumental wizard Regi Wooten have all been added to the lineup for the free concert, taking place at First Avenue and Broadway. Others taking the stage include DJ Robert Luke, Jason Eskridge (who will sing the national anthem) and veteran support group Operation Song. The Nashville Symphony will perform from Ascend Amphitheater, and the organization s musical director Giancarlo Guerrero will be on hand to conduct the July 4 performance for the first time in more than a decade.

Lowak Shoppala expresses Chickasaw identity through the medium of modern classical music and theatre through eight scenes and features orchestra, narration of a libretto by Chickasaw poet and Pulitzer Prize finalist Linda Hogan, children s chorus, traditional Chickasaw and classical vocal soloists, and Chickasaw storytellers. Each scene (Fire and Light, Double Header, Shell Shaker, Clans, Removal, Spider Brings Fire, Hymn, Double Header & Finale) depicts a part of Chickasaw culture and history and is sung in Chickasaw.
