OSWEGO COUNTY â The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is accepting applications for mini-grants for 2021. Not-for-profit community organizations can apply for up to $1,000 for activities for youth during hours when school is not in session. Projects must be completed by the end of 2021 and provide a direct service to children and families in Oswego County.
The grants are funded by Oswego County government and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services Youth Development program. Projects must have clear and measurable goals and address the diverse interests of youth.
âDespite COVID-19, we are pleased that the Youth Bureau will still be able to provide this opportunity to our community partners and support the youth in our county,â said Brian Chetney, director of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. âWe are looking for creative ways to engage youth and their families this year.â

HealthBarn USA Summer Camp, Ridgewood
The HealthBarn camp opened in July 2020 during the pandemic, and will do so again in 2021. We opened Summer Camp 2020 on July 6, 2020 during the pandemic and we successfully created a negative COVID environment throughout the summer (and have continued programming safely as of December 2020) based on our COVID procedures/protocols, reduced registration and our amazing families, camp officials said.
The summer camp is offered in two programs: one for ages 5 to 12, and another for ages 3 to 5. Welcome to HealthBarn USA, the only camp where you can eat, plant, cook and play, officials said.
