Sippican Lands Trust is starting off 2021 with a New Year’s Day Walk at the trust’s White Eagle property on Friday, January 1, 2021 at noon.
This New Year’s Day Walk will be part of special events and walks offered by Sippican Lands Trust throughout 2021.
The walk will begin from the end of Parlowtown Road off Route 6.
Space is limited for this walk so registration is required. Email info@sippicanlandstrust.org to sign up. SLT will maintain a waiting list for additional walk registrants. Registrants will be notified via email if their name comes off the waiting list.
CHATHAM- Boy Scouts of America Troop 280 in Chatham, a growing troop of 27 girls, is helping the community ring in the new year by holding its second annual First Day Walk for open space on New Yearâs Day, Jan. 1.
The walk will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 2.5-mile walk starts and finishes at the Loantaka Way parking lot in Chatham (195-215 Loantaka Way, Madison), the entrance to Loantaka Brook Reservation. Pets are welcome to join the walk.
Last year, according to the troop, the walk raised $1,300 for BSA outdoor projects including local trail maintenance, boardwalk construction and tree planting.
