♦ The Summit-based New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble will mount its 52nd anniversary performance of “¡Ballie di Primavera! The Dances of Spring” online 7 p.m. Sunday, May 2.
The program will feature NJDTE pre-professional dancers ages 10-18 and include works by; Christopher Bloom of Ballet Hispánico, excerpts of “Don Quixote” and “Paquita” staged by the ensemble’s rehearsal director Alexandra Gonzalez, “Parallel” staged by artistic director Nancy Turano, and Paul Taylor’s “Cloven Kingdom”, staged by 20-year Paul Taylor veteran Michelle Fleet.

Theatre Communications Group has announced the 2021 TCG 60th Anniversary Gala: Our Stories will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 7:30pm ET with an afterparty to follow. The Gala will honor Ricardo Khan and the Performing Arts Alliance, and both the Gala and virtual live afterparty will be hosted by drag superstar Shequida. Dr. Michelle Ramos, the board chair of PAA and Vision Keeper of Alternate ROOTS, will offer remarks on behalf of PAA. In-person entertainment continues to reawaken throughout the state, with two more venues in Morristown coming to life this weekend:
♦ The Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Road will kick off another round of outdoor jazz and classical concerts on its back parking deck 7 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, April 15, with Amani performing the songs of Lionel Richie. Rain date is April 16.

New Brunswick-based Crossroads Theatre Company, in partnership with Hi-Arts, will present its 2021 Genesis Festival of New Plays, with readings of works in development by three young Black playwrights online nightly from Thursday, April 15, to Saturday, April 17.
Each pre-recorded reading will include a live Q&A with the night’s featured playwright. The lineup is:
