Regina King on her dream palaces

▶︎  One Night in Miami is released in UK cinemas from 26 December 2020 and on Amazon Prime from 15 January 2021. I appreciate streaming but I will always love the theatre experience, from the sound to just settling in to watch the trailers. It’s an experience. My favourite theatre is the Alamo Drafthouse. It started in Austin and then expanded all over the US. I went back and forth to Austin shooting a couple of shows between 2013 and 2016. I had a weekly date with myself at the Alamo Drafthouse. It was a little treat date. I remember seeing Heath Ledger in Batman [The Dark Knight, 2008] there. More recently, I saw Bo Burnham’s Eighth Grade in their theatre in Brooklyn.

To be eligible for best original song, the song must be a completely original work, released exclusively for the use of the film prior to any other use. I ve compiled a list of the Best Original Movie songs that did not win Oscars. This list is based purely off of staying power, as in, songs that still get stuck in our heads randomly and still get radio plays

TV Editor On a busy night there s Queens of the Street, which focuses on the female stars in Coronation Street, Christy Ring: Man and Ball, Far from the Madding Crowd, as well as some Christmas specials and season finales . . . Pick of the Day Queens of the Street, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One Of all the Corrie specials, this could be the best - a programme celebrating the Weatherfield women over the years, since the very first episode aired in December 1960. There’s never been a shortage of great female characters on The Cobbles: Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner, Hilda Ogden, Vera Duckworth, and Bet Gilroy are just some of the show’s finest. The great Sarah Lancashire cut her acting teeth here as Rovers barmaid Raquel.
