The trial of four people accused of murdering a man during an alleged attempt to steal his Rolex in a Wigan church grounds continues today (April 22).
Steven McMyler, a joiner from Marsh Green, was found in the gardens of Wigan Parish Church with serious injuries on August 6 last year.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite the best efforts of paramedics the 34-year-old was pronounced dead.
Lewis Peake, 30, of James Street, Little Lever, is alleged to have recruited four others to assault Mr McMyler in an attempt to take his very valuable Rolex watch.
