Sensex ends above 49k for the first time, Nifty at 14,485; IT, auto stocks shine

Indices end at record highs
Heavyweights helped benchmark equity indices close at record highs on Monday on hopes of better Q3 earnings. Sensex jumped 486 points to end at 49,269 led by IT and auto stocks. Nifty closed 1% higher at 14,485.
HCL Tech, Infy and HDFC were the top gainers on the Sensex, while Bajaj Finance and its twin Finserv and Reliance were the biggest laggards. The broader markets underperformed benchmark indices.
On the Sensex, 20 stocks advanced and 10 declined.

NEW DELHI: After touching a new all-time high in intraday session on Friday, Nifty formed a bullish candle on the daily and the weekly charts. The 50-pack index formed higher highs for the 12th trading session in a row.
On the technical front, analysts see hurdles for the index as it heads towards the 14,500 level. “The market remains overbought in the short term, and we maintain a cautiously bullish outlook unless Nifty breaks below 13,950 level,” said Nirali Shah, senior research analyst at Samco Securities.
Narayana Hrudayalaya has discontinued its operations of the Heart Centre which was operated in the premises of IQ City Hospital in Durgapur, West Bengal under an Agreement with IQ
City Foundation (formerly known as SPS Synergy Foundation).
Further, the said Heart Centre was disposed on a going-concern basis to IQ City Foundation vide agreement executed on 6 January 2021 and the transition to IQ City is being done.
