Fianna Fáil Senator Malcolm Byrne has said that the Government need to give young people a break amid ongoing discussion over a large gathering which occurred in Dublin s City Centre on Saturday.

Speaking on RTÃ s Tonight Show on Monday, Byrne said that the Government need to cut young people some slack , adding that it has been a very tough year for young people.
Gardai say the arrests for public order offences were made on South William Street.
They say officers from the Public Order Unit and the Dog Unit dispersed the crowd from the area, along with crowds in Temple Bar and St Stephen s Green.
Gardai are appealing to people not to gather in large groups, maintain social distancing and wear face masks in crowded spaces.
