Catalytic converter thefts have been a problem in the North Bay, and law enforcement in American Canyon were able to make a few arrests. Officials said yesterday that a suspect vehicle was seen in the area of Hess Road. Police saw two people inside, and they found multiple catalytic converters and sawing tools. Officers arrested Donny Eugene Rice and Eric Batz. Both were booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections, where they were later cited and released with a future court date.

An FBI agent specializing in domestic terrorism said Ian Benjamin Rogers sent out a series of text messages threatening Gov. Gavin Newsom, Democrats and social media organizations the week before he was arrested for possessing an arsenal of weaponry at his Napa home and business.
The affidavit is the first time that law enforcement has presented evidence that Rogers wasnât just obsessed with weaponry, but considered âgoing to warâ if Trump had to give up the presidency.
Rogers, 43, believed that Trump had won the presidential election and should not leave office, Special Agent Stephanie Minor wrote in an affidavit supporting federal charges that he had possessed five pipe bombs at his business, British Auto Repair of the Napa Valley.

A northern California man remained held on a $5 million bond Monday after sheriff’s deputies last week allegedly uncovered five pipe bombs, as well as a cache of illegal assault rifles, automatic weapons, more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition and other bomb-making material at his home and business in Napa.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office obtained search warrants for the home and business of 44-year-old Ian Benjamin Rogers after receiving a tip that he possessed several illegal guns. Investigators found more than 50 guns several of which were unregistered and/or illegal , as well as more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition, and several pounds of gun powder, the sheriff’s office revealed in a press release.

A 44-year-old Napa businessman has been arrested for possession of illegal assault rifles, automatic weapons and explosives, according to the Napa County Sheriff s Department.
Sheriff s spokesperson Henry Wofford said Saturday evening that Benjamin Rogers, a Napa resident, was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections following his Friday arrest and is being held on $5 million bail.
Wofford said the sheriff s department obtained search warrants for Rogers home and business, the latter of which is located in the 1600 block of Action Avenue, after receiving a tip that he was in possession of several illegal guns. During the sheriff s department s searches at both locations, investigators found more than 50 guns several unregistered and/or illegal and more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition. Also found were several pounds of gun powder.
