I know that there is a lot of negativity about nursing homes but we have one of the best right here in Gloversville. It’s Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home.
I was fortunate to have spent almost six months there. The aides and nurses were excellent. They answered our needs as soon as possible (even when they were shorthanded) and you can’t beat the therapy personnel. At one point I couldn’t work at all. I worked very hard to be able to walk again, but my Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy therapists worked just as hard as I did and together we made it. My thanks also goes out to Mike (Bill) who oversees the whole physical therapy department. When needed, he also works one on one with the patients.
