Although iCarly revival star Laci Mosey loved the wacky, parent-free antics of the original Nickelodeon series, her fondness for the show, and for acting itself, was driven by one of her greatest loves all things camp.
“I’ve always loved big, campy performances, which is why I fell in love with iCarly, because iCarly has been camp since I was a child,” Mosley, who plays Carly s bold and fun-loving roommate, Harper, on the Paramount+ revival, told TheWrap.

Soleil Moon Frye is back as her iconic titular role in Peacockâs
Punky Brewster revival. Once an abandoned child herself, the reboot sees Punky as a divorced mother of three who takes in a young girl in the foster care system who reminds her of her young self. Cherie Johnson returns as Punkyâs best friend along with Freddie Prinze Jr. as Punkyâs ex-husband. The Peacock series premiered on February 25.
Set nearly a decade after the original Nickelodeon series takes place, the Paramount+ revival picks back up with Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) now that she’s reached adulthood. In addition to reviving her old web show, the series also finds Carly, her family, and friends attempting to navigate work, love, and life as they put on a revamped version of the show that turned her into the original influencer.
Joining Cosgrove for the revival are original series stars Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, who will reprise their roles as Carly’s brother Spencer, and bestie Freddie Benson, respectively.
The series also stars newcomers Laci Mosely, who will play Carly’s roommate, Harper, and Jaidyn Triplett, Freddie’s stepdaughter.
