Making an emergency plan
The aim of an emergency plan is to help staff respond effectively to an emergency at school or on an educational visit.
Your emergency plan should be generic enough to cover a range of potential incidents that could occur, including:
serious injury to a pupil or member of staff (eg transport accident)
significant damage to school property (eg fire)
criminal activity (eg bomb threat)
severe weather (eg flooding)
the effects of a disaster in the local community

Pupils attending Newarkâs newest primary school from September will have the opportunity to grow in every sense of the word and to explore lifeâs big questions Ââ that is the view of Nigel Frith, director of education, in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.
Mr Frith was referring to the construction of the Christ Church Primary School on Middlebeck, south of Newark.
Building work, as these exclusive pictures from a drone show, is progressing well with no significant delays, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
