City of Kingston’s bylaw officers issued six fines for noise complaints and one court summons under the special Section 22 order in place to reduce St. Patrick’s Day parties this week.
Dan Hazell, supervisor of licensing and enforcement for the City of Kingston, reported that on Saturday his department received three calls for illegal gatherings and six calls for noise violations. The complaints were at addresses on Days Road, Bath Road, Notch Hill Road, Pine Street, Portsmouth Avenue, Albert Street and Victoria Street.

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on Days Road early Wednesday morning.
Kingston Police were called to the intersection of Days and Bath roads just after 7 a.m. When they arrived, they learned that a Toyota Camry being driven north on Days Road had struck a man who had been walking east from Castell Road toward the La Salle Plaza, Sgt. Steve Koopman said.
