Another canola crush facility planned for Saskatchewan May 25, 2021 Ceres Global Ag, a U.S. commodities firm, plans to build a new canola crush plant in southeastern Saskatchewan. The plant could be operating by the summer of 2024 with a capacity to refine more than 500,000 tonnes of canola oil annually to supply biofuel and food markets. The $350-million plant could create more than 50 full-time jobs. Canola processing in Saskatchewan is booming with Cargill and Viterra having already announced plans to build crush plants in Regina. Richardson International of Winnipeg said it plans to double its canola crushing capacity at its Yorkton facility.
