Biscuit Belly, our new restaurant specializing in extreme biscuit sandwiches, will be opening, if all goes as planned, on July 17, in the Promenade development. The Louisville-based restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch only and will feature items such as The Rockwell Supreme – a buttermilk fried chicken breast with cheddar cheese, goetta sausage gravy, bacon and an egg on a biscuit, and the Edgy Veggie with fried green tomatoes, mushroom gravy, cheddar cheese and an over-easy egg on a biscuit. Other non-biscuit items such as loaded breakfast tots or hash browns, French toast and fruit cups will be available. You’ll also find Tractor Craft Soda here.
A long-time buffet in Evansville has recently closed its doors.
If you have ever driven north on Highway 41 in Evansville, right before you get to the intersection of 41 and Interstate 64, you may have visited a restaurant called Stoll s Country Inn. This place has been one of my family s favorite restaurants in the area for years. Why? Because it s an Amish buffet.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all amazing there. It s very rare to stop in and only get one plate. If you do that, you re not doing it right. You definitely never leave hungry. In fact, we were just talking about stopping in for lunch the other day. Looking back now, I wish that we would have because it appears it would have been our last chance to enjoy that delicious Amish cooking.

La. Country Inn Owner Says Insurers Owe $1.6M For Damages
Law360 (July 9, 2021, 7:46 PM EDT) The owner of a Country Inn & Suites in Louisiana says in a lawsuit filed in federal court Friday that nine insurers, including three Hartford units, are on the hook for $1.6 million in damages the property sustained from Hurricane Laura, a winter storm and a car crash after they breached their policy terms.
Avaid Hotels LLC, which operates a Country Inn & Suites in Shreveport, Louisiana, also alleges that the companies acted in bad faith when handling its requests for coverage by incorrectly applying the policy s deductible and over-depreciating the losses.
