COVID-19 in Mumbai: List of vaccination centres issued by BMC for 45+

(Photo by AFP) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a list of centres that will vaccinate 45 plus beneficiaries today. The centres are not administering the Covaxin today. The Covishield will be administered only to ones with online booking. Walk-in are only open for health care and front-line workers. Check the list here: Meanwhile, with 2,678 new COVID-19 cases on May 8, Mumbai s cumulative caseload jumped to 6,74,072. Even as the number of cases reported daily has been showing a steady decline, deaths due to Covid-19 have remained stagnant with the city reporting 60 to 70 deaths daily on average. The city on Saturday reported 62 new deaths, which pushed its fatality count to 13,749, data released by the city s civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. 3,608 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged on Saturday taking the recovery count to 6,10,043. The number of active cases as of Saturday stands at 48,484.

Oxygen leak in Nashik Municipal Corporation hospital Delhi s Madhukar Rainbow Children s Hospital on Sunday sounded alert over oxygen shortage on a regular basis despite it claimed to be the city s southern region s only hospital that have been admitting pregnant women infected with Covid-19. The 130-bedded hospital sent an SOS message through its Twitter handle after it again faced similar issue on Sunday when the oxygen availability at the facility for the day was estimated till 12 noon. Based in south Delhi s Malviya Nagar area, the hospital currently admitted 80-90 Covid patients that included pregnant women and children some in ICU and NICU.
