今(28)日2時中央氣象局「路徑潛勢預測圖」(左圖)顯示，輕颱「尼伯特」在本州北部，將向西北西轉偏西進入日本海，強度持續減弱，並未威脅到「東奧」的比賽。另一颱風「烟花」持續減弱消散中，其殘餘環流仍有激發「中小尺度對流」，為華中帶來局部強降雨的威脅。觀察1989、1990年有不少颱風呈現路徑突然改變(右圖)，就如同「烟花」、「尼伯特」的路徑(左圖)；都是在「季風低壓」內形成的颱風，在「季風低壓」不同的相對位置，受到不同的氣流導引，由於導引氣流的劇烈變化、造成路徑的突然改變，擴大預報誤差，當年被稱戲稱為「預報員的夢魘」，至今還是！
