VC fund Play Ventures has announced it closed a $135 million funding round, which will go towards investment in game studios.
This is the second round going towards the company s Play Ventures Fund, which has so far invested in 24 game companies in ten countries, the announcement said.
Play Ventures also announced the first investment coming from the new round of funding, going towards Indian startup All Star Games. Games Beat reported last month that the studio had raised $1.5 million to develop sports games on mobile.
This new funding round brings Play Ventures total to date to $175 million, having raised $40 million in August 2019.
