Latest updated blog: Warm week but some rain chances -Doug

Good Monday night!  I hope you had a fantastic holiday weekend.  I also hope you stayed safe.  The weather great!  It was warm but it was dry and the humidity wasn’t that bad at all. This week is going to be just a typical July week.  Warming up a bit the next couple days with our humidity increasing a bit. We do have chances for thunderstorms increasing mainly Wednesday afternoon.  These will be very scattered but they will be out there. After that, Thursday and Friday look warm, but mainly dry.  Our next shot for widespread rain and better chances for scattered thunderstorms set in for the weekend.

Weather Blog: 2 cold fronts in the next 5 days

Weather Blog: 2 cold fronts in the next 5 days Skyler Penner and last updated 2021-07-05 23:46:13-04 Good Monday bloggers, I hope you had a great and safe 4th of July weekend. The weather was most cooperative. The weather was also perfect for the KC Air Show. My son, who is obsessed with trains, wanted to get a picture with the Blue Angles flying over a train in Gardner, KS. He came up with this idea when we found out the air show was at New Century airport. He knew and we knew the chance of that is 1 in a million!

A Busy Week Takes Shape | Kentucky Weather Center with Meteorologist Chris Bailey

Illinois Mike on July 5, 2021 at 4:40 am It may be a tame summer so far in Kentucky in regard to temperatures, but it certainly hasn’t been in the Chicago area. O’Hare Airport’s average temperature in June was 74.3 degrees, which is 3.7 degrees above normal and ties for the fourth warmest June ever here! There were eight 90+ degree days (all in the first 19 days of the month). Of course, it was a very wet and stormy month also, as the 6.78 inches of rain that fell at O’Hare made it the 13th wettest June ever for Chicago. The SW suburbs where I live received a similar amount.
