Skye P. Marshall (Black Lightning) is set as a lead opposite Sophia Bush and Jason Isaacs in Good Sam, CBS’ family medical drama pilot from Katie Wech, Jennie Snyder Urman and her Sutton St. Productions, and CBS Studios, where Sutton St. is under a deal.
Marshall will play Dr. Lex Trulie, an ambitious and capable surgeon who has achieved success despite the lack of support of her family. Lex and Sam (Bush) share a bond as the only women in their department, though Lex’s loyalty to Sam’s father drives a wedge between the friends when Sam replaces him as chief of surgery.
The 2019 passing of Larry Schwartz – who along with Kirby Cabler in 2014 initially began the Pig Project associated with the Brown County Youth Fair – has not deterred the family from carrying on his legacy.
Now known as the Good Samaritan Ministries Larry Schwartz Memorial Pig Project, the Schwartz family – with the assistance of monetary contributions and donations from community members – are making certain their patriarch’s passion endures.
“It was created as a way to help the kids for the youth fair but also to help the community,” said Shannon Adams, Larry Schwartz’s daughter. “Basically they started it as a way to benefit the kids at the youth fair that do not make the sale for whatever reason, whether their pig didn’t place or it was sifted because it weighed too much or whatever the case may be. We pay the kids for their pigs. Then it also helps the community because the meat is provided to Good Sam who in turn gives it to the people who come into their

The funeral service for Eugene Francis Conn, Sr., 81, of Roscoe, SD will be at 9:30 am, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Paulâs Evangelical Lutheran Church in Roscoe, SD. Seating will be limited at the church due to Covid-19 restrictions, and masks will be required. Burial with Military Rites will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, SD.

Eugene was born on October 19, 1939 to Francis and Erna (Brick) Conn near Aberdeen, SD. He was raised on a farm and attended elementary country schools, Simmons Junior High, and Westport High School.
KEARNEY â Friends called him âMr. Kearney,â but itâs not just because he was involved with key community organizations.
Bruce Blankenship was head of the Kearney Catholic Foundation, president of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, and was Kearneyâs mayor in 2003-04.
In those three roles, Blankenship did much for the city he loved and made connections with a lot of important people.
Blankenship, 63, died from COVID-19 on Sunday at CHI Health Good Samaritan. He had been receiving care at Good Sam for almost three weeks. Survivors include his wife, Tammy; sons, Brett of Omaha and Brock of Lincoln; and his grandsons.
