Greater Noida: Consultant RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Service) Limited that has been hired by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority to prepare a comprehensive traffic plan for the city has started its survey. The study has begun on the 130m-wide road between two blocks in Knowledge Park 5.
About 20 places have been identified as ‘choke points’ and RITES has prepared a preliminary report on five such areas.
The GNIDA has started examining it, officials said. These points are Pari Chowk, Surajpur entry/exit point, Tilapta Chowk, Honda Chowk and Kisan Chowk.

GREATER NOIDA: In a race to make Greater Noida the first smart city in the national capital region, the local authority (GNIDA) has taken a digital step towards strengthening its participation with residents. It has launched its OneMap service as a mobile application.
With the help of the National Informatics Centre, GNIDA has created an open-source geographical information system (GIS) of the entire town. Through the GIS map-based interface, GNIDA not only offers the details of existing allottees, list of vacant plots, directions, measurement of plots, list of landmarks but also provides details of its 13 urban services. On the app, a dashboard covering details of all allottees has been provided.
Greater Noida: With the expansion of projects and residential-industrial growth, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is moving towards decentralisation with zonal offices planned on the lines of Delhi.
Under this, the second office of GNIDA will come up in Noida Extension in about two-three months at a cost of Rs 2.1 crore where CEO and ACEO-level officers will sit on select days of the week.
The move comes following increased occupancy of over 2-3 lakh residents and nearly 101 RWAs and AOAs in the region seeking civic, electrical, horticulture, maintenance and property-related redress within their vicinity for which they have to currently travel over 25 km from Kisan Chowk to the present GNIDA office in Knowledge Park IV in Greater Noida.
