Converting old Bracknell Sainsbury s in latest applications

As ever, it has been a busy week for planning in BRACKNELL as a number of applications have been decided on and submitted. Meanwhile, Bracknell Forest Council’s planning committee held a virtual meeting on Thursday, May 20 to discuss two plans. Although all council meetings are meant to take place in the borough chambers from now on,  the committee was allowed to conduct the meeting virtually, as long as the decisions themselves were delegated to planning officers based on there recommendations. Councillors Tina McKenzie Boyle, Ankhur Bandhari and Michael Skinner, all Conservatives, were absent from the meeting, and therefore could not vote.

Darsham Fox set to expand dining facilities | East Anglian Daily Times

The Fox Inn at Darsham plans to expand its dining rooms - Credit: GOOGLE STREETVIEW A Suffolk pub has been given the go-ahead for a project to increase its dining areas to help cater for growing business from holidaymakers and local residents. The Fox Inn at Darsham has been using a marquee in its grounds during the pandemic, following council officers advice on how to ensure customers stay safe from Covid when it is allowed to open between lockdowns. But now the pub on Fox Lane says there is enough demand to make the extra space permanent. Philip Clifford applied to East Suffolk Council to build a single-storey extension to the Fox Inn public house to replace the marquee, and the application has been approved.

The rally was organized by Catherine Caley, a student at Fox Lane High School, along with three other high school- and college-aged members of the AAPI community. They spoke to the crowd about their experiences with racial issues as Asian Americans, along with a list of elected officials and local politicians. Members of the crowd listened and held signs reading “racism is a virus” and “stop AAPI hate.”
