On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox Nation host Abby Hornacek explained why she thinks it’s an even more impressive feat to win the gold at the Olympics when there are no fans in attendance.
“When you look at the Olympics in general, part of it is you feel the energy even when you’re watching from home, you feel the energy of the fans. Without fans there, it just makes it a totally different dynamic. And I was having an interesting conversation with someone the other day. Will this Olympics, if you win gold, will it mean as much? And I think it might even mean more because you still have to compete against the same type of talent, but you’re not getting that extra boost from fans. I can’t speak to because I was never in the Olympics, but I could imagine that you get the sense of energy and pride when you perform in front of people. But no one will be there.”
