Cordage 23 Ltd has applied for permission to build two detached houses in the grounds of the Wheatsheaf Inn at Christchurch Road, New Milton. The application has sparked several letters of objection from people worried about the potential impact on the pub. One of the letters says charity events have raised large sums for causes such as the Hampshire Air Ambulance, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Children in Need.
