NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) â After a 43-day battle with COVID-19, Francine Shelton is finally coming home.
Family, friends, and staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center celebrated Shelton s release Saturday morning.
Shelton spent that time in the Intensive Care Unit at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Most of that time, Shelton was on a ventilator.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. The winter weather created a delay in delivering doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Because of that, the hospital has to cancel Wednesday s COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
The medical center will contact patients to let them know the February 17 clinic, which was scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., is canceled as a result of the vaccine delivery delay.

Some county officials around New York are urging Governor Cuomo to give them more guidance on his decision to extend vaccine eligibility, after Cuomo announced that restaurant workers and even Uber drivers could be added to the list of people who can get the shot.
NEW YORK - Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that 35 new community-based pop-up COVID-19 vaccination sites will be coming online this week at churches, community centers, public housing complexes, and cultural centers.
The sites are expected to vaccinate over 25,000 people throughout the week, with more sites coming online every week.
