HOPE, Ind. – This week is Indiana EMS week and the state is honoring all emergency medical personnel. Indiana’s EMS personnel are the bridge connecting public safety, public health, and health care. They respond to nearly one million calls each year and remain the front line of medical treatment and care.
Hope Volunteer Fire Department’s (HVFD) Ed Cottrell was nominated and selected to be recognized during Indiana’s EMS week. Cottrell is a veteran of firefighting and EMS for over 40 years and has been with HVFD since 2017.
Throughout EMS Week, Indiana Department of Health Services (ISDH) social media platforms are recognizing EMS teams and individuals who were nominated by those who know them best. Find all the submissions for IDHS EMS Honors here.
