Hope Johnson, the administrator of Perioperative Services at Lehigh Valley Health Network, has been with the eight-hospital health system for nearly 15 years. As such, she has watched and been a part of Lehigh Valley’s technological transformation.
“It’s crazy,” she told
MobiHealthNews. “Like every project we do now involves technology, whether it’s security, HIPAA,” or the system’s recent program to improve patient and family communications during operations.
Johnson, along with her colleague Nadine Opstbaum, the director of Information Services, spearheaded Lehigh Valley’s 2017 operating room communications project. The two will be sitting down to talk about their experience at HIMSS21 this August.

After previously performing in productions such as “Godspell” with the Columbia Musical Theatre Society, Joel Meyers, CC ’21, dons his graduation robe and a mask for one last hurrah. He sings a verse of “Goodbye” in front of Butler Library, performing the “Catch Me If You Can” number with seven other seniors from the Columbia Musical Theatre Society as a farewell to their college performance days and to conclude CMTS’ 2021 Senior Showcase.
For Meyers, “There’s only one word left to sing: goodbye.”

A former Dallas County prosecutor quietly surrendered his law license last month after the State Bar of Texas said he withheld evidence that led to the wrongful convictions of two men in the slaying of a South Dallas pastor.

In an effort to assist people in Acadiana with rebounding from economic hardship, Goodwill Acadiana will hold their Spring Hiring Event to fill several open retail positions.
The event will take place Monday, May 24
th from 9 a.m. to noon at the Corporate Office located at 2435 W. Congress St. in Lafayette.
Applications are currently being accepted online at
www.goodwillacadianaorg/employment. Pre-applying for this event is highly encouraged, and candidates will have the chance to be hired on-the-spot. Walk-in applicants are also welcomed on the day of the event. Directional signs will be displayed around the building to inform participants where to enter.
