North business leader David Richardson has welcomed an extra £48 million to help businesses affected by the move to level four Covid-19 restrictions across the whole of mainland Scotland. The Scottish Government support – announced by finance secretary Kate Forbes – is in addition to a £570 million package announced in early December. Businesses that are required to close or modify their operations by law can apply for a Temporary Closure Grant or a Business Restrictions Grant through their local authority website.
