The domestic stock markets are likely to open in the red in line with negative global cues. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a gap-down opening for the Nifty, with a 216-points loss. At 7:30 am, the Nifty futures were trading at 15,305, lower by 216 points or 1.6 per cent, on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
On Friday, the Sensex and Nifty touched fresh record highs of 53,290.81 and 15,962.25 respectively in intraday trading, before ending flat.

HDFC Bank
HDFC Bank, the country s largest private sector lender, has reported a 16.1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit at Rs 7,729.64 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2021. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 6,658.62 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Results Today: ACC, HCL Technologies, HDFC Life, Indian Bank and Mastek are among 25 firms slated to post their June quarter numbers today. HCL Tech s Q1 performance is likely to be impacted due to supply-side challenges amid the second Covid-19 wave. The net profit could rise in the range of 6-11 per cent year-on-year on a 14 per cent growth in revenue (rupee terms). The company could give a specific guidance range for FY22 at around 12–13 per cent - moving away from a generic double-digit projection mentioned earlier, according to Edelweiss Securities.
HDFC Bank: The country s largest private sector lender reported a 14.36 per cent growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 7,922.09 crore. The city-headquartered bank had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 6,927.24 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

ITC: Total foreign exchange earning of the group from exports in FY 21 rose 29.08 per cent to Rs 5,934 crore, the company s latest annual report said. While, the foreign exchange earned by ITC Ltd was up 31.2 per cent to Rs 4,600 crore, mainly on account of exports of agri-commodities.
Key benchmark indices declined at opening bell on Monday. The Nifty regained 15,800 mark after opening below that level.
At 9:31 IST, The Sensex was down 370.71 points, or 0.70% at 52,769.35. The Nifty 50 index slipped 101.9 or 0.64% to 15,821.50.
The Nifty Mid-Cap 50 index traded 0.29% lower while the Nifty Small-Cap 50 index was up 0.03%.
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 466.30 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs), were net buyers to the tune of Rs 666.07 crore in the Indian equity market on 16 July, provisional data showed.

The monsoon session of the Parliament will begin today (19 July) and it will conclude on 13 August 2021. The government has listed 17 new bills for introduction in the session. Apart from the new bills, the legislations to be introduced in Lok Sabha include three bills to replace existing ordinances.
