But did Bola Tinubu put politics aside to pray for then-President Jonathan during the various eids that occurred during his five year rule?
No. I am a meticulous record keeper, and I recall quite clearly that Bola Tinubu took pains to ensure that he undermined the then President when he spoke during the various eids between 2011 and 2015, and he did not stop there.
Both Bola Tinubu and Muhammadu Buhari even went as far as asking then President Jonathan to resign for failing to secure the nation!

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has described the allegation of persecution made against his administration by Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, as a mere figment of his imagination and concocted to attract cheap attention and undeserving popularity.
Jonathan, in a statement by his spokesman, Mr. Reno Omokri, said the allegation by el-Rufai that he was to be arrested in furtherance of the second term bid of the former president was untrue.
He said: âNigerians may recall that Mr. el-Rufai was on a self-imposed exile during the administration of the late great President Umar Musa YarâAdua.
Located around the Kudenda industrial area, off Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway in Kaduna, the power plant, a project of the Federal Ministry of Power, was designed to use eight installed turbine units to add to the power supply in the industrial area. Reno Omokri says Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai doesn’t like former President Goodluck Jonathan because he wasn’t selected as Vice President.
The former presidential aide made the revelation in reaction to El-Rufai’s claim that Jonathan wanted to jail him.
Omokri said El-Rufai was on a self imposed exile during the administration of Umar Yar’adua and returned to Nigeria on May 5, 2010, the day the ex-President died.
He said El-Rufai returned due to his belief that the atmosphere was more conducive for him under Jonathan.
Omokri recalled that six days after his return, El-Rufai visited Jonathan at the State House and held a press conference where he made “unsolicited comments” asking Jonathan to contest the 2011 elections and assured he would support.
