Coley announces candidacy for District 5 House seat

MARIANNA Republican Vance Coley, whose parents both served in the Florida House of Representatives, has filed pre-qualifying paperwork as a candidate for the District 5 Florida House seat being vacated by term-limited Rep. Brad Drake in 2022.
“The Great Northwest is my home,” Coley, 29, said. “It was always an easy decision to look beyond opportunities in other parts of the state and come back home to serve my community, like my father and mother before me.”
After beginning fundraising efforts last month, the Coley campaign has quickly raised over $11,500, according to campaign reports, with support from former House Speaker Allan Bense and other notable Republicans making an early appearance.

Feminists Torn: Abortion Giant Planned Parenthood Now Major Player in Transgender Industry

Some feminists are now facing the fact that Planned Parenthood, once a staunch champion for women’s rights, is currently one of the largest providers of transgender treatments in the United States, having become a leader in an industry that supports the elimination of the legal recognition of two sexes in favor of gender identity.
Transgender industry author Abigail Shrier wrote this week of a conversation with a former Planned Parenthood employee who is apparently reconciling the fact that the abortion provider’s transgender political activism may ultimately undermine its existence.

Picking a performer or group to write about can be a lot of fun (or not!). And
fun was the operative word for a fan like me in researching and writing about
The Brothers Four. I happen to like reading what’s on LP record jackets, in liner notes and digging through old newspaper articles. You can learn a lot. But like others who dabble in the fine art of writing stuff that you hope gets read by your target audience, along with a litany of facts you find that it can also be enlightening as well. With that said, I’ve learned what other fans around the world have known about The Brothers Four for over 60 years.
