Comnmentary: New Mexico leaders are applauding the Joint Resolution pre-filed Monday, January 4, by Senator Antoinette Sedillo Lopez, Senator Bill Soules, and Representative Joanne Ferrary to amend the New Mexico Constitution in order to add enforceable environmental rights. Senator Mimi Stewart, Senator Harold Pope, Jr, Representative Tara Luján and Representative Andrea Romero are signing on as co-sponsors in support. The Joint Resolution proposing the amendment was pre-filed by the sponsors on the first day legislators could pre-file their legislative proposals for the 2021 legislative session.

2020 Bozeman Beautification Award Winners Announced
The
Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board was formed in 1993. This particular board advises and makes recommendations to the Bozeman City Commission. The board also supports annual projects such as Clean Up Bozeman Day which is held near Earth Day.
Previous winners of Beautification Awards have ranged from entire districts such as the North 7th corridor to individual remodel projects done by individual homeowners.
Beautification projects have been recognized in this way around Bozeman since 1997 through a nomination process. Projects that are awarded can be done by service groups, businesses, organizations or individual people.
