WINONA, MINN. (KWNO)-Downtown Winona is set to roar back to life with events this summer.
It all gets started on May 21 with the first Dine Out Downtown from 4-10 p.m., followed by the return of Touch a Truck the next morning.
In June, Winona Steamboat Days and the Winona Craft Beer Tour will return downtown. The Great River Shakespeare Festival, which is usually held on the Winona State campus, will be held at Levee Park throughout the summer.
“There’s so many people that are dependent, especially in the summer months, on that driven traffic from our festivals,” Winona Area Chamber of Commerce President Christie Ransom said. “As a community, we are so ready to have that semblance of normal.”

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The Spring and Summer of 2021 are on pace to see some of Winona’s top events return.
Earlier this week, the Winona City Council approved the Great River Shakespeare Festival to take place at Levee Park. The council also authorized the Lake Park Drive-In Series to return in late May.
Midwest Music Fest will make its return next month at Prairie Island.
“In general, we need to be safe. That is what the primary goal is. We want to make sure everybody is alive and well so they can attend these events,” said Mayor Scott Sherman. “For those organizers, it’s extremely crucial that they get that cash flow coming back in. For our community, the economic benefit of these events is enormous.”
