Peter Curtin of the Roadside Tavern, Master Brewer in the Burren Brewery and Unearther of Unknown Historical Facts met with radio and TV presenter John Creedon. This Meeting of Minds was all about J.R.R. Tolkien and his master piece, The Lord of the Rings .
Dr. Liam Campbell was also interviewed. He is an independent writer and scholar from Northern Ireland who is published both creatively and academically. Liam lectures in English Literature & Creative Writing for the North West Regional College in Ireland & the Ulster University.
He and Peter got in contact a number of years ago over the subject of J.R.R. Tolkien s epic work, its history and Tolkien s intentions when writing the trilogy. Since, Liam has done a lot of research on the subject, and even travelled to libraries in the US in pursuit of the historical facts.

Paris got cookin , and our salmon was one of the stars!
Bord Bía (the Irish Food Board) in France invited a few Instagram influencers to get cooking with chef Gilles Bellot. They were provided some Irish ingredients, like Gunpowder Gin by The Shed Distillery, steaks from Irish Hereford Prime, Cashel Blue, our Burren Smoked Irish Organic Salmon and Butlers Chocolates, and then got busy.
Chef showed them on zoom how to cook or serve the ingredients, and they got cooking alongside him on the other side of the screen. Way to go these days!
The influencers then shared their stories and posts, and though the pictures are all very different (and wonderfully so), what came across from all of them was the sheer joy of eating those delicious, authentic Irish foods and tasting the gin.
