Chairman of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) Board, Nadeem Lodhi and ZTBL President Mohammad Shahbaz Jameel Friday called on the Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, Industries and Production Muhammad Hammad Azhar. The ZTBL Board Chairman briefed the finance minister about the working and operations of the Bank. ZTBL, a leading bank in Pakistan, has been extending loans to poor farmers aimed at boosting national agriculture and empowering farmers at the grass root level.
He also updated the finance minister about formation of the new Board and assured to further enhance the capacity of the bank in boosting agro-farming in the country.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) Board Nadeem Lodhi and the President of the ZTBL Mohammad Shahbaz Jameel met the Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, Industries and Production Muhammad Hammad Azhar at the Finance Division in Islamabad on Friday.
The Chairman ZTBL Board briefed the finance minister about the working and operations of the Bank.
The Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, a leading agro-financing bank in Pakistan, has been extending loans to poor farmers aimed at boosting national agriculture and empowering farmers at the grass-root level.
Citibank Appoints New Country Head for Pakistan
Ahmed Bozai has been appointed as the new Citi Country Officer (CCO) for its business in Pakistan.
He will be replacing Nadeem Lodhi, who retired from the bank last year. As CCO, Ahmed will assume overall responsibility for managing Citi’s business in the country and report to Elissar Farah Antonios, who was recently appointed as the Head of Citi’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) cluster.
Until recently, Ahmed was the Chief Operating Officer for the EMEA Emerging Markets (EMEA EM) cluster, based out of Dubai. He has previously worked with Citi in Pakistan, Greece, and the United Kingdom in several areas, including Corporate Banking, Treasury & Trade Solutions, and Operations & Technology.

The federal government has approved an all-male board of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), violating an Act of parliament that binds it to ensure women representation in every public interest company.
The decision is also against the government’s policy of economic and social empowerment of women, which President Arif Alvi reiterated on Wednesday.
But a day earlier, the federal cabinet approved a nine-member board, including two ex-officio members, for ZTBL. It approved the appointment of Nadeem Lodhi as the chairman of ZTBL board of directors.
