It’s Christmas Eve and many people will be making their way home to spend some quality time with their family.
This week’s adverse weather has resulted in a string of nasty crashes, as well as flash flooding around Cornwall and Devon.
Although the weather looks a little more settled for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, wet and windy weather looks after set to then return for what appears to be the rest of 2020 - with a weather warning on Boxing Day.

Usually we don’t need much of an excuse to step out during August, but this enticing line-up of events and activities gives even more reason to head out.

Two volunteers from Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat Station hit the road running last Saturday for this years RNLI Virtual Reindeer Run 2020 to raise vital funds for the lifesaving charity.
This year the annual RNLI Fundraiser went virtual because of the current Coronavirus regulations, but hundreds of runners across the country were able to take part in their own run, choosing their own route and distance to raise much needed funds. That included two keen volunteers from Exmouth RNLI who donned their antlers, put on their running hooves and went the distance for the charity.
Dougie Wright, a boat crew volunteer and Des White, volunteer Tour Guide and Chair of the Exmouth RNLI Fundraising Committee, both slipped into their running shoes last Saturday to complete a full Marathon and 10km run respectively.
