First block of North Mulberry Street - Police went on a high-speed chase early Friday after trying to make a traffic stop. The chase met with negative results. Officers later made contact with the owner of the vehicle, who said her 18-year-old daughter had taken it without permission. The teen told police her friend, a 30-year-old man, had been driving the vehicle. Police made contact with the man over public service, but he reportedly refused to speak with them in person. Charges were forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor s Office.
500 block of Allison Avenue - Police were called about a domestic disturbance Friday morning. A 28-year-old man was issued a summons for criminal damaging after he reportedly broke out the rear driver-side window of his 22-year-old girlfriend s vehicle with his fist.
