Dead by Daylight Update Confirms Perks for Resident Evil Killer, Survivors

Dead by Daylight creators Behaviour Interactive unveiled this week the plans for the game’s next Chapter, the one based on Resident Evil content. Nemesis, Leon S. Kennedy, and Jill Valentine will all be joining the horror game on June 15th with each of them sporting unique powers and perks to separate them from other Killers and Survivors. While those perks were not fully revealed during Behaviour’s livestream event, we know from the update that’s been added to the game’s test servers what the characters are capable of.
Dead By Daylight celebrates its fifth anniversary this week and developer Behavior Interactive has marked the occasion be releasing new details about the game’s upcoming Resident Evil chapter. Not only will fans get the chance to hunt down survivors as Nemesis, but they’ll also be able to take it on as Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine. The Resident Evil chapter will be dropping into Dead By Daylight on June 15. All three new characters will have their own trademark abilities. As Leon, players can craft flash grenades, which can be used to either blind or distract the killer. Other the other side of the game, players stomping around as Nemesis can infect survivors with tentacle attacks. The more they infect the more their tentacles grow in both reach and strength. Survivors can reduce the effect with vaccines, but there are only a limited number available on the map.

The Dead by Daylight Resident Evil chapter will drag Leon, Jill, and her old pal Nemesis into the asymmetrical online horror.
The collaboration between Capcom and Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive was
first announced back at the Resident Evil showcase event in April, but it didn t include any details on who specifically it would add to the game. Now we know we can look forward to playing as two of the biggest stars from the Resident Evil franchise (maybe next time, Redfield siblings) and arguably its most iconic monster.
On top of being an old hand at this whole survival horror thing, Leon can also roll his own flashbangs: repair enough generators, and Leon will be able to duck into a locker and emerge with a crafted flashbang that can distract or stun the Killer. In
Dead by Daylight, four Survivors face off against one Killer. Survivors are pretty helpless, so their job is to evade the Killer and repair generators around the map so they escape to fight another day. A new map coming to
Dead by Daylight is based on the Raccoon City Police Department and will be partially procedurally generated.
Nemesis is one of the game’s most unique Killers yet. His in-game title is the Tyrant, and he brings some Resident Evil tropes to
Dead by Daylight. He attacks with a deadly tentacle, making him a bit of a ranged killer similar to the Huntress, Trickster, or Deathslinger. Here’s where things get interesting: Nemesis can infect Survivors he hits with the T-Virus. This causes them to cough and make noises, thus making them easier to find.
