Jailer Rafiqul Islam was attached to the Department of Prisons, said Inspector General of Prisons Brig Gen Md Mominur Rahman Mamun. Deputy Jailer Abu Sadat was reassigned to the Office of Deputy Inspector General of Prisons in Chattogram.

Dried fish or shutki, made out of fish caught in Chalan Beel region in Natore, is quite popular across the country for its taste and quality. Driven by the demand, its production in the region is also on the rise.
However, dried fish makers are not being able to reap the benefit of the high demands due to falling prices at markets this year.

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 2, 2021 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League leader and former general secretary of Chhatra League of Chattogram South unit AKM Nazim Uddin.
In a condolence message, the minister said the contribution of ex-student leader Nazim Uddin to the politics will be remembered forever.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Nazim Uddin, a former executive member of AL, Chattogram South unit, died at a hospital in the capital while undergoing treatment there.
