One of the biggest comedy festivals in the South West returns to Bristol next week and excitement is building.
Comedians will perform open air shows at a park in the heart of St Albans this summer. The St Albans Comedy Garden promises the “ultimate remedy” with five nights of stand-up comedy in Verulamium Park. From Wednesday July 28 to Sunday August 1, performers will include Sara Pascoe, Dara O’Briain, Josh Widdicombe, Alan Davies, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett. Each show will have acts featuring big names such as Netflix star Phil Wang, British Comedy Award winner Aisling Bea, Milton Jones, Taskmaster Lou Sanders and ventriloquist Nina Conti. There will also be podcasters Ed Gamble and John Robins, US comedian and television presenter Reginald D Hunter and the award-winning Sindhu Vee alongside rising talent like Maisie Adam, Sarah Keyworth and Darren Harriot.
