Marilyn Belz, z”l, Remembered at YU’s Arbesfeld Program By Pearl Markovitz | May 27, 2021 On Sunday, May 23, YU’s Sunday morning Arbesfeld Yom Rishon Program memorialized philanthropist Marilyn Belz, z”l, who passed away on December 22, 2020, at the age of 91, from COVID-19 complications. Together with her husband of 72 years, Jack Belz, yibadel l’chaim, she promoted the visual arts and music through her generosity of spirit and philanthropy. Known for her beauty, kindness and graciousness, Marilyn Belz worked alongside her husband Jack, developer and downtown Memphis visionary, in establishing centers of culture in every corner of Memphis. Together they founded the Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art, and lent support to some of Memphis’ most influential cultural, arts and religious institutions from the Orpheum Theater to the Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab.

New Programs Announced by Colorado Hebrew Chorale

L’Chaim – A Taste of Jewish Music from – Anywhere!” The new series will offer programs on the fourth Monday of each month, 7:30 pm MDT on Zoom through Oct. 25. The first program will take place on Monday April 26 and will feature Adrienne Suson who will present L’Chaim from – Summer Camp! On Monday, May 24 she will present L’Chaim from Adrienne (“Auntie A”) Suson Adrienne (“Auntie A”) Suson is a licensed “Rhythm & Ruach” facilitator who has been involved with Synagogue life, Jewish education, Jewish music and love for children since her own childhood. She currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland where she is the program director at her (rabbi) brother’s congregation, Congregation
