ST. LOUIS Barnes-Jewish Hospital leaders have sent an updated vaccine rollout memo to hospital fellows and residents after some employees expressed outrage about the plan they said put younger frontline workers last in line for a vaccine.
The memo, obtained by 5 On Your Side, stated a new plan to vaccinate those younger than 40 would be going out “later this week” and prioritized based on those working in COVID-19-concentrated areas such as in the emergency department, COVID-19 intensive care units and other COVID-19 related floors and obstetrics.

DENVER The state s first COVID-19 vaccines were administered to frontline health-care workers Monday afternoon after Colorado received its first shipment of Pfizer s vaccine Monday morning.
“This is just the start of the distribution,” Gov. Jared Polis said. “It’ll help protect some of our most vulnerable, the tireless COVID workers who work in COVID wards every day, and then more will become available for the general population to help end the pandemic.
The first shipment of Pfizer vaccine will be distributed among 46 sites, and the first of the Moderna vaccine will go to about 150 sites, according to CDPHE.
