$5.9 million warehouse addition planned for Des Moines business

Electro Management Corp. and Electrical Power Products Inc. (doing business as EP2) plan to add a 60,000-square-foot warehouse addition to their production and office facility at 4240 Army Post Road in Des Moines, according to city documents.
The addition to the 242,800-square-foot structure is valued at $5.9 million. Construction is expected to begin soon with completion by fall 2021.
The facility will be built from architectural tilt-up precast concrete panels, similar to the group’s existing building. Overhead loading dock doors are planned on the south side of the building, consistent with the design of the existing structure, according to city documents.

A proposed multiuse arena at Merle Hay Mall would stretch from the former Younkers department store site north into where Kohl’s department store is now located, according to a master plan for the mall property released today in advance of Tuesday’s Des Moines Urban Design Review Board meeting.
