Photo by VnExpress/Quynh Tran. HCMC’s metro line No.1 investor has agreed that an independent consultant investigates why a supporting pad for beams fell off from its position. The investor, HCMC Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR), made the decision after failing to figure out why one of the Elastomeric Laminated Bearings pads had fallen out from its position between two beams on the line’s elevated section last October.

A representative of the corporation said the second TBM has been assembled at about 60 per cent of capacity to enhance the work. The machine will start boring from S9 or Kim Mã station to S12 or Hanoi station at the end of Trần Hưng Đạo Street with a total length of 4km.
