CCHD Vaccination Clinic Held in Valley City

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (CCHD) – The following is a news release by the City County Health District Office in Valley City. “COVID-19 vaccinations are gearing up in Barnes County. Over 200 COVID-19 vaccinations were given on February 25 in Valley City at the Hi-Liner Activity Center. Another 400 vaccinations will be given on March 3rd, again at the HAC. In addition Sanford Health and Essentia Health are providing vaccine to their patients and each of the participating pharmacies will be receiving 100 doses this week. City County Health District (CCHD) , the Incident Command Center for COVID-19 for Barnes County is the lead agency for managing COVID-19 in Barnes County and is in charge of these mass clinics which can reach out to all Barnes County adults. The North Dakota National Guard has been called in to assist with these mass vaccinations.

18 & Older With High-Risk Medical Conditions Eligible For COVID-19 Vaccine

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (CCHD) – City-County Health District (CCHD) is prepared to move into the next eligible priority group within Phase 1B of North Dakota’s COVID-19 vaccination plan: Those individuals working or living in Barnes County age 18 and over living with chronic, high-risk health conditions. “We have made swift progress through Phase 1B and we are prepared to open eligibility to those age 18 and over living with chronic medical conditions,” said Theresa Will, Administrator for CCHD. “We thank the public for their support and patience as we continue to move through eligible groups in Barnes County,” Will added. Smokeless tobacco users are encouraged to make the Great American Spit Out on February 25 their designated quit date. Setting a quit date greatly improves a tobacco user’s chance at success. Both City-County Health District and Central Valley Health District have the tools and resources for smokeless tobacco users who want to quit tobacco. Both public health units are educating the community about how smokeless tobacco can cause harm and encourage young people never to start using these products.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Feb 17 in Valley City

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – City-County Health District will administer the COVID-19 vaccine to people who are 65 and older with or without chronic health conditions starting next week. City-County Health District Administrator Theresa Will said there will be a vaccination clinic on Wednesday, February 17th in the Hi Liner Activity Center in Valley City from 7am to noon. She said the Senior Center will provide free bus rides for those signed up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. She encourages those without a computer to call the city county health district office to get registered or go online to CityCountyHealth.org. She said get registered before going to the vaccine clinic.
