BOSTON, May 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Burns & Levinson announced today that partner Thomas Reith has been named Co-Chair of the firm s highly-regarded Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. Reith will serve as co-chair with partner Andrea Martin, who has co-chaired the group since 2019. Reith replaces long-time co-chair Paul Mastrocola, who was recently named co-managing partner of the firm.

University of the Ozarks has named Terri Thomas as its new dean of students. Her duties at Ozarks begin July 1, 2021.
Thomas has served as the assistant director of academic success at Hendrix College. She is passionate about creating equitable opportunities and improving curricular and co-curricular experiences for students.
After graduating from University of the Ozarks in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication, she served as an AmeriCorps member with City Year New Hampshire and as a Team Leader with City Year Providence.
A year ago, J. interviewed seven high school graduates as they were heading off to college or a gap year in the midst of the pandemic. Some were uncertain about the future. Others were disappointed that the pandemic had thrown a wrench into their plans. But a year later, most are looking back with a sense of accomplishment.
“Things actually turned around pretty well,” said Gabey Kaufman-Cohen, who ended up taking a gap year in Israel that at one point looked like it might get canceled due to the pandemic.
J. caught up with some of the students to see how their post-graduation plans turned out.
A CRADLEY Heath school has been given 25 laptops to help its pupils with their English studies. Ormiston Forge Academy, Wrights Lane, was given the kit by bosses at the National Grid as part of a partnership between the school and youth mentoring organisation City Year UK. City Year volunteers will now be able to use the laptops for their work supporting students with their studies. Dave Jenks, key stage 3 assistant principal at the school, said: We are very grateful to National Grid for making this possible. Our teachers, students and their parents have worked incredibly hard to ensure students have been connected during lockdown.
The Boston Public Schools are getting a giant stimulus check. Time to think big.
The district will have to think creatively, take some chances, and find a way to sustain any successful new programs in the long term.
