What’s left to say about 2020 except that it’s over. But what a year with the well-chronicled coronavirus pandemic that killed more than 300,000; racial unrest that created division in across many communities and a presidential election that was over until it wasn’t. And there was plenty of more to a year that goes down as one of the most memorable in recent history. Here’s some of what happened.

Results This December, close to 3,000 youth athletes will journey to Hoover, Alabama for the 2010 USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships. The City of Hoover welcomes all comers year-round to see if they can meet the challenges of this permanent cross country facility. The park has permanent rest rooms and concessions in the main pavilion, playgrounds for little ones, two fishing lakes, beach volleyball, a memorial to our Veterans, and a permanent 5K course marked every 200M. Add exhibits from our military and sponsors, some challenging competition, and even grandstand seating for those that want a more relaxed view of the racing. What more could you ask for? Competition takes place in five two-year age divisions, from ages 10 & under to age 18.
